Julia Gartha is a producer, songwriter, and artist based in Los Angeles via Toronto. She is currently working on the release of her debut album. Earlier this year she released her debut EP “Taking Up Space” .

 

Recently, she has written for artists like Jonita Gandhi, Ariza, Sarah Defne Gray, etc, and has produced for artists like Earth To Emily, Naylon, Frogi, Rachel Gonzalez, & Arielle Ward.

She's sung background vocals for artists like Chappell Roan, Olivia Rodrigo & Daniel Caesar

 

She is currently one of the top creators for Meta's commercial music library with hundreds of thousands of reels created.

 

After graduating from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Contemporary Writing and Production, Julia broke onto the music scene when invited by Oscar and Grammy-winning composer A.R. Rahman to co-write and sing on his production of “Hands around the World.”

 

Since then, she has worked alongside Rahman for the Netflix movie “Mimi”, which premiered on July 26th, 2021. Julia co-wrote and performed the final track on the soundtrack, "Rock-a-Bye Baby." Recent sessions include Lynx’s, Kyra Machida, Julia Pratt, and more.
